Lung Sask MCP Gateway

Lung Sask provides a public Model Context Protocol server for accessing approved Lung Sask information and resources.

JSON-RPC MCP endpoint

The aggregate endpoint exposes only the services allowed by the current credentials. Service-scoped discovery is available at /mcp/{service}.

Transport

Stateless Streamable HTTP using protocol version 2025-11-25. Send JSON-RPC requests and notifications with POST. This server does not provide an SSE stream or create MCP sessions; GET requests receive 405 Method Not Allowed.

Authentication

None required for the public services.
Private services require an Authorization: Bearer <token> header with a token authorized for the requested service.

Discovery

1. Send an MCP initialize request with protocolVersion, capabilities, and clientInfo. The only supported protocol version is 2025-11-25.
2. Read the negotiated version and capabilities returned by initialize. An unsupported requested version is answered with 2025-11-25; disconnect if the client cannot use it.
3. Send notifications/initialized with MCP-Protocol-Version: 2025-11-25.
4. Include the same MCP-Protocol-Version header on every subsequent request. A missing or unsupported header receives HTTP 400.
5. Call tools/list, resources/list, and prompts/list to discover the capabilities available to the current endpoint and credentials.

The returned descriptions and schemas are authoritative for determining the functionality currently available from the server. The server implements ping, tool listing and calls, resource listing and reads, and prompt listing and retrieval. Resource templates are not supported.
